My eldest sister just bought a new set of rims for my father. At his age he still loves to drive to different places to buy some stuff and sell them. he and mom both loves to travel. Aging usually involves relinquishing that of a parent’s and workers basic roles. Thus as we look at the aging family we will be dealing with period in the life cycle of the individual that has decreased in usefulness and prestige. As the aging couple retires from occupational roles and withdraws from other community activities, they come to enjoy more interaction with their relative.
